DA1 - Check Supply At Multi-Function Switch

Gain access to multi-function switch connector C2.
-
Actuate headlamp switch to the HEAD position.

Using voltmeter connected to a known good ground, check pin C2-2 circuit 502 (GY) Town Car circuit 13 (R/BK) Crown Victoria, Grand
Marquis.
Is voltage B+?
YES
GO to Pinpoint Test DB.
NO
GO to DA2.
DA2 - Check Supply To Headlamp Switch

Gain access to headlamp switch connector C2.
-
Using voltmeter check circuit 221 (O/W) Town Car or 195 (T/W) Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis at pin C2-7 for voltage.
Is voltage B+?
YES
REPLACE damaged headlamp switch. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO
SERVICE circuit 221 (O/W) for open. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
DB - Individual Cornering Lamp Inoperative
Pinpoint Test DB: Individual Cornering Lamp Inoperative
DB1 - Check Multi-Function Switch Output

Actuate multi-function switch to the left turn position.

Using voltmeter check circuit 380 (P/Y) pin C1-7 at multi-function switch connector.
Is voltage B+?
YES
LEAVE multi-function switch actuated. GO to DB2.
NO
REPLACE multi-function switch. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
DB2 - Check Circuit 380 (P/Y)

Gain access to cornering lamp miniature bulb.
-
Disconnect miniature bulb as outlined.
-
Using voltmeter check circuit 380 (P/Y) for voltage.
Is voltage B+?
YES
GO to DB4.
NO
GO to DB3.
DB3 - Check Circuit 380 (P/Y) For Short

Disconnect multi-function switch C1 connector.
-
Using an ohmmeter connected to a known good ground, connect second lead to multi-function switch connector pin C1-7, circuit 380 (P/Y).
-
Measure resistance.
Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
YES
SERVICE Circuit 380 (P/Y) for short. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO
SERVICE Circuit 380 (P/Y) for open. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
DB4 - Check Circuit 379 (BR/W) At Multi-Function Switch

Actuate multi-function switch to the right turn position.
