Pinpoint Test EE: One Or More Side Marker Lamps Inoperative
EE1 - Check Supply To Suspect Side Marker Lamp

Actuate headlamp switch to the PARK position.
-
Gain access to suspect side marker lamp connector. Disconnect the suspect side marker lamp.
-
Using a voltmeter connected to a known good ground, connect the second lead to circuit 14 (BR) at side marker lamp connector.
Is voltage B+?
YES
GO to EE2.
NO
SERVICE circuit 14 (BR) for open circuit. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
EE2 - Check Suspect Side Marker Lamp

Using an ohmmeter connected to a known good ground, connect second lead to circuit 57 (BK) at side marker lamp connector. Measure
resistance.
Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
YES
REPLACE damaged side marker lamp miniature bulb. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO
SERVICE circuit 57 (BK) for open circuit. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
EF - One Or More Rear Lamps Inoperative
Pinpoint Test EF: One Or More Rear Lamps Inoperative
EF1 - Check Supply To Suspect Tail Lamp

Actuate headlamp switch to the PARK position.

Gain access to suspect headlamp switch lamp connector. Disconnect the suspect tail lamp.

Using a voltmeter connected to a known good ground, connect the second lead to circuit 14 (BR) at tail lamp connector.
Is voltage B+?
YES
GO to EF2.
NO
SERVICE circuit 14 (BR) for open circuit. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
EF2 - Check Suspect Tail Lamp

Using an ohmmeter connected to a known good ground, connect second lead to circuit 57 (BK) at parking lamp connector. Measure resistance.
Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
YES
REPLACE damaged tail lamp miniature bulb. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO
SERVICE circuit 57 (BK) for open circuit. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
EG - One Or More License Lamps Inoperative
Pinpoint Test EG: One Or More License Lamps Inoperative
EG1 - Check Supply To Suspect License Lamp

Actuate headlamp switch to the PARK position.

Gain access to suspect license lamp connector. Disconnect the suspect license lamp.

Using a voltmeter connected to a known good ground, connect the second lead to circuit 14 (BR) at license lamp connector.
Is voltage B+?
YES
GO to EG2.
NO
SERVICE circuit 14 (BR) for open circuit. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
