GLASS - RIGHT FRONT DOOR - HIGH ROLL UP EFFORT - VEHICLES BUILT THROUGH 4/1/96

ISSUE:
Increased effort may be required to roll up the right front window glass on some vehicles. This is due to the passenger door frame being narrow, causing
incremental bind on the window glass.
ACTION:
Adjust the right front window glass mechanism and glass run. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the front door trim panel and watershield. Refer to the appropriate year Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis Service Manual, Section 01-05.
2.
Gain access to the glass and glass regulator attachments by removing:
a.
The inside and outside belt line weatherstrip. Refer to the appropriate year Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis Service Manual, Section 01-11.
b.
The outside mirror. Refer to the appropriate year Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis Service Manual, Section 01-09.
c.
The door-mounted speaker.
NOTE:
DO NOT REMOVE THE GLASS FROM THE DOOR AFTER COMPLETING STEP 3.

Remove the door window glass rivets from the regulator and glass. Refer to the 1996 Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis Service Manual, Page
01-11-30 (Figure 1).
