Auxiliary Evaporator Core
AUXILIARY EVAPORATOR CORE
Removal and Installation
NOTE: If an evaporator core leak is suspected, the evaporator core must be vacuum leak tested before it is removed from the vehicle.
1. Remove the air conditioning and heater assembly.
2. Disconnect the evaporator core spring lock couplings.

Discard the O-ring seals.
3. Position the heater hoses aside.
4. Remove the evaporator case cover.

Remove the 4 screws.

Remove the evaporator case cover.
5. Remove the evaporator core.

Remove the seal.

Remove the evaporator core.
6. Remove the evaporator core seal.
7. Remove the thermostatic expansion valve (TXV).
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
