6. Install and adjust the Digital Transmission Range (DTR) sensor.
(1) Install the DTR sensor.
(2) Loosely install the bolts.
(3) Adjust the DTR sensor, using the Transmission Range (TR) Sensor (MLPS) Alignment Tool.
(4) Tighten the bolts.
7. Connect the harness connector to the Digital Transmission Range (DTR) sensor.
8. Connect the shift cable to the manual control lever shaft assembly.
9. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
10. Connect the battery.
NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control
module relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
11. Fill the transmission to the specified level with MERCON(R) V Automatic Transmission Fluid XT-5-QM or equivalent.
