An alternate method of installing the axle shaft oil seal is with the Rear Axle Seal Replacer and Drive Handle.
NOTE: Make sure the oil seal is not cocked in the bore during installation.
4. Lubricate the cavity between the lips of the axle shaft oil seal and the rear wheel bearing with Premium Long-Life Grease XG-1-C or -K or
equivalent meeting Ford specification ESA-M1C75-B.
5. Install the axle shaft.
