1. Install the direct clutch piston inner seal.
NOTE: The seal lip must face downward.
2. Install the direct clutch piston outer seal.
NOTE: The seal lip must face downward.
3. Inspect the direct clutch piston check ball.
1. Check for freedom of movement and proper seating.
2. Clean the direct clutch piston with solvent, if necessary.
3. Replace the direct clutch piston, if damaged.
4. Install the direct clutch piston.
NOTE: The piston should rotate freely in the drum.
