Drive/Propeller Shaft: Service and Repair
Indexing
NOTE: If driveshaft components are replaced and driveshaft vibration is encountered after installation, index the driveshaft.
NOTE: If indexing the driveshaft does not eliminate the vibration, balance the driveshaft.
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the rear driveshaft.
3. Rotate the rear axle flange.
4. Connect the driveshaft.
5. Lower the vehicle and test drive.
6. Repeat the procedure if necessary.
