Axle Bearing: Service and Repair
Replacement
REMOVAL
1. Remove the axle shaft bolts.

Place a drain pan under the rear hub.
2. Remove the axle shaft.
3. Inspect the following components:

The rear axle shaft gasket for damage; replace as necessary.

The axle shaft for cracks around the bolt holes.
