Accelerator Pedal: Adjustments
Wide Open Throttle Adjustment
1. Adjust the accelerator cable free play. Refer to Adjustments/Free Play adjustments. See: Free Play Adjustments
2. Have an assistant press the accelerator pedal to the floor.
3. Verify that the throttle valve is in the wide open position while the accelerator pedal is pressed to the floor.

4. If the throttle valve is not in the wide open position, have the assistant keep the accelerator pedal pressed to the floor while you adjust the locknuts
on the accelerator cable bracket. Adjust the nut until the throttle valve is in the wide open position.
5. Have the assistant release the accelerator pedal. Verify that the throttle valve is completely in the closed position.
6. Check accelerator cable deflection as explained in this section.
NOTE: If unable to set both accelerator cable (9A758) deflection and wide open throttle position, then accelerator travel needs to be adjusted.
