Urethane windshield water leaks sometimes cannot be corrected with liquid butyl after seal alone. The solvents in the after seal have no effect on the
urethane and will not adhere to the urethane. However, it is not necessary to remove and reinstall the windshield if the following procedure is used.
1.
Remove windshield exterior trim moulding and locate exact area of leak (using a hose, start at lower corners and work up around the glass).
2.
Blow area dry with air hose.
