Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
WARNING: The electrical power to the air suspension system must be shut off prior to hoisting, jacking or towing an air suspension
vehicle. This can be accomplished by turning OFF the air suspension switch located in the RH kick panel area. Failure to do so may result
in unexpected inflation or deflation of the air springs which may result in shifting of the vehicle during these operations.
3. Drain the transmission fluid. Remove the transmission fluid pan, filter and seal.
4. Disconnect the solenoid and sensor electrical connectors.
(1) Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor.
(2) Shift solenoids SS1 and SS2.
(3) Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid.
(4) Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) solenoid.
CAUTION: Do not pull on the wires. This can damage the wires or the connector and can result in transmission solenoid or sensor failure.
Carefully pry up on the locking tab and disconnect the connector.
5. Remove the manual valve detent spring.
(1) Remove the bolt.
(2) Remove the manual valve detent spring.
