2. Lubricate the piston pin and piston pin bore using engine oil meeting Ford specification WSE-M2C908-A1.

3.Position the piston pin in the bore aligned with the connecting rod bore.

NOTE: The oil hole in connecting rod must face RH side of engine block. Arrow on piston must face the front of the engine block.

4. Gradually heat the pin bore side of the connecting rod to approximately 230°C-316°C, 46°F-626°F and immediately assemble pin.

NOTE: The piston pin bore of a connecting rod and the diameter of the pin must be within specification.

5. Use Piston Pin Tool to press the piston pin into the piston and connecting rod assembly.
6. Install the piston rings.
