Removal and Installation
NOTICE: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of foreign material or failure of the power
steering components may result.
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Using a suitable suction device, remove the power steering fluid from the fluid reservoir.
3. Remove the 6 pushpin retainers and the upper air deflector.
4. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
5. Release the clamp and disconnect the power steering gear-to-fluid cooler return hose from the power steering fluid cooler.
