WARNING: Never install heated seat parts not intended for use on this vehicle. Parts released for other model years or vehicle lines are not
compatible even if they appear visually and physically similar. Installing incorrect parts will result in heated seat system performance outside
design specification. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
1. Install the backrest foam pad to the backrest frame.
2. NOTICE: Remove the paper strip covering the adhesive before adhering the heater mat to the foam pad. Otherwise, damage to the seat
can occur.
NOTE: When adhering the heater mat to the foam pad, be sure to position the heater mat so it is straight and free of any wrinkles that may show
through the cover material after installation.
Install the heater mat to the foam pad.

Align the heater mat square to the seat backrest with the narrow area of the heater mat tucked into the valley of the foam pad and the wiring
toward the lower edge.

Align the upper windows of the heater mat over the listing wire in the foam pad to allow for hog ring installation when the backrest cover is
installed.

Firmly apply the heater mat to the foam pad and rub to seal the adhesive.
3. Route the electrical connector and wire harness through the hole at the bottom of the foam pad, fasten the wire harness and connect the electrical
connector.

Removal and Installation
NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Front See: Service and Repair/Front Seats/Seat - Exploded View, Front.
1. Position the seat backrest fully forward.
2. Release the backrest cover J-clip and unzip the 2 zippers.
3. Disconnect the Thermo-Electric Device (TED) electrical connector.
4. Detach the pin-type retainer attaching the TED duct to the backrest frame.
5. Un-hook the TED from the backrest support wire and remove.

If equipped with power lumbar, note cable routing for correct installation.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTICE: The heater mat is not designed to be separated from the foam pad. Doing so will damage the foam pad. Install a new foam pad and
heater mat. Failure to follow this instruction can result in seat component damage and system failure.

2. Remove the cushion foam pad with heater mat and discard.
