F 250 4WD LD Pickup V8-5.4L SOHC VIN L (1997)
49. Install the manual shaft retaining pin flush with the shift lever.
50. Lift the (A) shift lever and position the (B) selector gear, tapered end down, into the (C) shift fork.
51. Use (A) Driver Handle and (B) Inner Axle Shaft Bearing Replacer to install the (C) front axle shaft pilot bearing into the (D) clutch gear.
52. Insert the (A) clutch gear through the (B) selector gear and (C) engage the splines.
