Bearing Shim Installation
37. Install the differential bearing shims (4067) by driving into position with Shim Driver T85T4067-AH.

CAUTION: Triangles on bearing caps must point outboard. Install bearing caps as marked prior to disassembly.
38. Install bearing caps and tighten cap bolts to 109-129 Nm (80-95 lb-ft). Recheck backlash. If not to specification, repeat Step 28.
CAUTION: Make sure the machined surfaces on both the rear axle housing and the axle housing cover are clean and free of oil before applying
the new silicone sealant. The inside of the rear axle must be covered when cleaning the machined surface to prevent contamination.
39. Clean the gasket mating surface of the rear axle and the axle housing cover.
