Engine Rear Cover Replacement for F 450 4WD Super Duty V8-64L DSL Turbo (2008)
NOTE: Do not allow the engine to rotate during the installation of the rear main seal and wear sleeve.
Using the special tool and the plastic step up tool packaged with the new seal, install the crankshaft rear seal.
2. If equipped, install the flywheel front adapter.
3. Install the flexplate or flywheel and tighten the new bolts in 2 stages, in the sequence shown.

Stage 1: Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-inch).

Stage 2: Tighten to 94 Nm (69 lb-ft).

4. Install the clutch disc and pressure plate.
All vehicles
5. Install the transmission.
