8. Remove the bearing cups with gripping pliers.

9. Remove remaining bearing cups and spiders, and on the one-piece rear driveshaft, remove the spring.

The centering ball on the driveshaft end yoke is not repairable. Discard the driveshaft if the centering ball is damaged.

Assembly 

1. Position the spider in the driveshaft end yoke, and position the bearing cup on the spider bunion.

2. Using the special tool, press the bearing cup far enough into the driveshaft end yoke to place the opposite bearing cup on the spider bunion.
