Removal and Installation

Removal
  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Do not attempt to clean the throttle body. The bore and the throttle plate have a special coating applied during manufacture which should not be removed.
    Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.

  1. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector and detach the fuel charging wiring harness.

  1. Detach the throttle body.

  1. Remove the throttle body.
    1. Remove the accelerator cable clip.
    1. Detach the accelerator cable.
    1. Remove the throttle body.

  1. Remove and discard the gasket.

Installation
  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Do not attempt to clean the throttle body. The bore and the throttle plate have a special coating applied during manufacture which should not be removed.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new gasket.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure the throttle body tightening sequence is followed correctly.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
