Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Disconnect the starter motor electrical connectors.

  1. Remove the starter motor support bracket.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:There is a limited amount of space in which to manoeuvre when removing the starter motor, take care not to damage any wires or pipes.
    Remove the starter motor.

Installation
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
