NOTE:Hold the piston rod with an Allen key to stop it from turning. Undo the suspension strut nut five turns (right-hand side shown). | | -
Detach the lower suspension arm ball joint (right-hand side shown). | | -
CAUTION:The inner joint must not be bent at more than 18 degrees; the outer joint must not be bent at more than 45 degrees. Remove the left-hand front drive halfshaft from the transmission and tie up. | | -
Remove the left-hand front drive halfshaft oil seal. | Installation | -
Install the left-hand front drive halfshaft oil seal. | | -
CAUTION:The inner joint must not be bent at more than 18 degrees; the outer joint must not be bent at more than 45 degrees. CAUTION:When installing the drive halfshaft, use the installation sleeve (supplied with every new oil seal) to protect the oil seal. NOTE:Make sure the snap-ring engages firmly in place. Install the left-hand front drive halfshaft in the transmission using a new snap-ring. | | -
Attach the lower suspension arm ball joint (right-hand side shown). | | -
NOTE:If the transmission contains transmission fluid (WSD-M2C200-B), drain it off and refill with new fluid. | | -
NOTE:Stop the piston rod from turning using an Allen key. Tighten the suspension strut nut (right-hand side shown). - Use an Allen key to prevent it from turning.
- Tighten by hand with a ring spanner.
- Use a torque wrench to tighten to torque.
