Wipers and Washers - Windshield Wiper Motor Fiesta 2002.25 (11/2001-)
Removal and Installation

Removal
  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Ensure that the wiper motor is in the park position.
    Remove the windshield wiper arms.

  1. Remove the air cowl grille.

  1. Remove the water guide.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Do not raise the vehicle.
    Remove the suspension strut nuts.
    1. Discard the retaining nuts.

  1. Detach the cross brace from the bracket for the windshield wiper motor assembly.

  1. Remove the bolts from the bracket for the windshield wiper motor assembly.

  1. Detach the windshield wiper motor assembly.
    1. Pull the cross brace to one side.
    1. Lift up the windshield wiper motor assembly.

  1. Remove the windshield wiper motor assembly.
    • Disconnect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.

  1. Detach the windshield wiper linkage from the windshield wiper motor lever arm.

  1. Turn the windshield wiper motor lever arm clockwise.

  1. Remove the windshield wiper motor bracket retaining bolt.

  1. Remove the windshield wiper motor.

Installation

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Move the windshield wiper motor to park position before installing the wiper arms.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Install new suspension strut nuts.
    Install the components in the reverse order.
