Removal and Installation Special Tool(s) | Expander, Teflon Seal 211-188 (13-015) | | Remover, Oil Cooling Pipe 307-242 (17-049) | Removal | -
Using the special tool, disconnect the power steering fluid cooler hose. - Insert the special tool into the quick-release coupling.
- Slde the special tool along the pipe to release the locking tangs.
- Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

Detach the power steering line support bracket from the engine. | | -
Disconnect the power steering pressure (PSP) switch electrical connector. - Depress the locking tang.

Disconnect the power steering line union. - Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

Disconnect the power steering fluid hose from the power steering pump. - Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

Detach the power steering pump mounting bracket from the engine, (shown from below for clarity). | | -
Remove the power steering pump. | | -
Remove the power steering line from the power steering pump. | Installation | -
NOTE:If installing a new power steering pump, the unions supplied with the pump should be removed and retained for further use. Using the special tool, install a new O-ring seal onto the power steering line to power steering pump union. - Push the new O-ring seal onto the special tool.
- Locate the special tool onto the union and install the O-ring seal.

Install the power steering line to the power steering pump. | | -
Install the power steering pump. | | -
Attach the power steering pump mounting bracket to the engine, (shown from below for clarity). | | -
Connect the power steering fluid hose to the power steering pump. | | -
Connect the power steering line union. | | -
Connect the PSP switch electrical connector. | | -
Attach the power steering line support bracket to the engine. | | -
Connect the power steering fluid cooler hose. | | |
