Removal and Installation

Removal

WARNING:
WARNING:Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and can ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.

  1. Disconnect the evaporative emission canister purge valve electrical connector.

  1. Disconnect the vacuum control line from the canister purge valve.

  1. Disconnect the fuel vapor hoses from the canister purge valve.

  1. Remove the canister purge valve.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Initialize the door window motors. For additional information, refer to Section  501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms.
