Removal
All vehicles
NOTE:
The cooling system must not be drained.
Evacuate the air conditioning (A/C) system. For additional information, refer to Section
412-00 Climate Control System - General Information
.
Raise the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section
100-02 Jacking and Lifting
.
Remove the lower radiator cover.
Discard the retaining clips.
CAUTION:
Seal off the refrigerant lines and the condenser core to prevent dirt ingress.
Detach the refrigerant lines from the condenser core.
Vehicles with common rail injection system
CAUTION:
Seal off the refrigerant line and the condenser core to prevent dirt ingress.
Detach the upper refrigerant line from the condenser core.
CAUTION:
Seal off the refrigerant line and the condenser core to prevent dirt ingress.
Detach the lower refrigerant line from the condenser core.
All vehicles
CAUTION:
Support the radiator crossmember with a transmission jack.
Remove the radiator crossmember (right-hand side shown).
Remove the condenser core.
Unclip the condenser core (one side shown).
Pull out the condenser to the side.
Installation
NOTE:
Install new refrigerant line O-rings.
NOTE:
Coat the refrigerant line O-rings with clean refrigerant oil before installation.
NOTE:
Install new lower radiator cover retaining clips.
Install the components in the reverse order.
