  1. gloves
    Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).
  1. Connect the Ford diagnostic equipment.
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that all diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) have been removed after the road test.
    Make sure that the transmission is not in emergency operation mode.

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Make sure that the brake pedal and parking brake are fully applied during the test.
    Start the engine.

  1. Disconnect the Ford diagnostic equipment.
  1. Refer to: Air Cleaner - 2.0L Duratorq-TDCi (DW) Diesel (303-12A Intake Air Distribution and Filtering, Removal and Installation).

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that the vehicle is standing on a level surface.
    Refer to: Lifting (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

  1. Torque: 35 Nm

  1. This and the next three steps are only required when replacing the transmission fluid filter.

  1. Material: Transmission Fluid

  1. Torque: 15 Nm

  1. Refer to: Specifications (308-03E Manual Transmission/Transaxle - Vehicles With: 6-Speed Automatic Transmission (6DCT450), Specifications).
    Material: Transmission Fluid

  1. Torque: 35 Nm
  1. Refer to: Air Cleaner - 2.0L Duratorq-TDCi (DW) Diesel (303-12A Intake Air Distribution and Filtering, Removal and Installation).
