Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1.  
    1. Torque: 25 Nm

  1. Remove the loadspace trim panel, on both sides.
    Refer to: Loadspace Trim Panel - Convertible (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

  1. On both sides.

  1. Torque: 25 Nm

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Note the routing of the lines and hoses.
    CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the component is not bent.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Note the position of each component before removal.
    1. Torque: 10 Nm

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the component is not bent.
    1. Torque: 25 Nm
    1. Torque: 25 Nm

  1. Torque: 4 Nm

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Align the luggage compartment lid.
    Refer to: Convertible Top Alignment (501-18 Convertible Top, General Procedures).
  1. Initialize the door window motors.
    Refer to: Door Window Motor Initialization (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, General Procedures).

    1. Operate the convertible top switch to the down/open position until the convertible top is fully open.
    1. Operate the convertible top switch to the up/closed position until the convertible top is fully closed.
