Generates an ACoutput, which is converted to a DC output by a rectifier assemblyinternal to generator, and is supplied to vehicle through the B+terminal. S (stator) circuit is used to feed back a voltage signalfrom generator to regulator. This voltage (typically half batteryvoltage), is used by regulator to turn off indicator.Generator (10300)0)Microprocessor1)Rectifier2)Stator3)Regulator4)Field151–5, 151–7A signal sent by the generatorto the PCM indicating the elec-trical load that is placed on thegenerator to maintain the de-sired voltage set point. Thissignal is used to help the PCMdetermine the load placed onthe engine by the charging sys-tem for idle speed control. Theload is transmitted by means ofa duty cycle, which is directlyproportional to the load.RD30-BA6151–1GENCOMC102a3A command signal sent by the PCM to theregulator indicating the desired voltage setpoint. TPS, ECT, IAT and VSS are amongthe inputs considered when calculating thevoltage set point. The signal is transmittedby means of pulse trains that are communi-cated at least once every five seconds. Theduty cycle of the pulse trains equates to thedesired voltage set point.F1.101A13–1C1443RD30-BA107RD30-BA10
