Removal and Installation

Removal

All vehicles
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
    For additional information, refer to: Lifting (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

  1. Remove the splash shield.
Vehicles with 1.4L or 1.6L (100 PS) engine
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:For vehicles with 1.4L or 1.6L (100 PS) engines equipped with air conditioning the accessory drive belt tensioner rotates in a counterclockwise direction.
    Remove the accessory drive belt.
    1. Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise.
    1. Remove the accessory drive belt.
Vehicles with 1.6L (90 PS), 1.8L or 2.0L engine
  1. Remove the accessory drive belt.
    1. Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise.
    1. Remove the accessory drive belt.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
