Removal and Installation Removal | -
Remove the charge air cooler outlet pipe. | | -
Disconnect the air intake breather hose from the valve cover oil separator. - Remove the retaining clip.

Disconnect the valve cover oil separator breather hose from the valve cover oil separator. - Remove the retaining clip.

Remove the valve cover oil separator retaining bolt and position it to one side. | | -
Remove the starter motor retaining bolts. | | -
Disconnect the starter motor electrical connectors. | | -
Remove the starter motor. | Installation | -
NOTE:Do not tighten the starter motor retaining bolt at this stage. Loosely install the starter motor retaining bolt. | | -
Install the starter motor retaining bolts. | | -
Connect the starter motor electrical connectors. | | -
Tighten the starter motor retaining bolt. | | -
Install the valve cover oil separator retaining bolt. | | -
Connect the valve cover oil separator breather hose to the valve cover oil separator. - Tighten the retaining clip.

Connect the air intake breather hose to the valve cover oil separator. - Tighten the retaining clip.

CAUTION:Make sure that the inside of the charge air cooler outlet pipe ends are clean and free from any oil residue as this will reduce the installation grip of the pipe to the throttle body intake housing and charge air cooler. Failure to follow this may result in damage to the engine. Install the charge air cooler outlet pipe. | | |
