Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS) (418-F224)

Inspection and Verification

  1. Verify the customer concern.
  1. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage

  • Loose or corroded electrical connectors

  • Keyless entry remote transceiver
  • Wiring Harness
  1. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
  1. Carry out the Service Test Mode, refer to the Diagnosis and Testing procedure. REFER to Section  419-01A Anti-Theft - Active / 419-01B Anti-Theft - Passive.
  1. If the cause is not visually evident, verify the symptom and refer to WDS to diagnose the system.
