Removal and Installation Removal All vehicles | -
CAUTION:Cap the brake line to prevent fluid loss and dirt ingress. Disconnect the right-hand side front brake pipe. | | -
Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield. | Vehicles with stability assist | -
Disconnect the brake booster electrical connector. | All vehicles | -
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster. | | -
Detach the brake booster actuating rod from the brake pedal. - Remove the clip.
- Remove the rod.
| Vehicles with manual transmission | -
CAUTION:Cap the clutch hose to prevent fluid loss or dirt ingress. Disconnect the supply hose from the clutch master cylinder. - Remove the clip.
- Disconnect the supply hose.
| All vehicles | -
Remove the brake booster retaining nuts. | | -
Detach the brake pedal bracket from the bulkhead. | | -
Remove two of the coil-on-plugs. | | -
Remove the brake booster. - Move the booster to the right.
- Move the booster from behind the suspension strut.

NOTE:Make sure the brake booster gasket is correctly positioned on the brake booster before installation. To install, reverse the removal procedure. | |
