Remover/Installer, Cooling Hose Clamp

303–397 (24–003)

1. Remove the cooling fan motors.
   For additional information, refer to: Cooling Fan Motor (303-03B Engine Cooling - 1.9L Diesel, Removal and Installation).
   

2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
   For additional information, refer to: Battery Disconnect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).
   

3. Remove the engine cover.

4. Disconnect the hood latch release cable from the hood latch.

5. Remove the battery junction box (BJB) retaining screws.

6. Remove the battery side trim cover.

7. Disconnect the cooling fan motor electrical connector.

8. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud left-hand retaining nut.

9. Using the special tool, disconnect the charge air cooler intake pipe from the intake manifold.

10. Detach the cooling fan motor wiring harness from the cooling fan shroud.

11. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud left-hand retaining nut.

12. Detach the refrigerant line from the cooling fan motor and shroud.

13. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud right-hand retaining nut.

14. Raise and support the vehicle.

15. Remove the engine lower cover.

16. Detach the engine coolant temperature (ECT) wiring harness from the cooling fan motor and shroud.

17. Disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector.

18. Detach the radiator lower hose from the cooling fan motor and shroud.

19. Using the special tool, disconnect the charge air cooler intake pipe from the charge air cooler.

20. Using the special tool, disconnect the charge air cooler outlet pipe from the charge air cooler.

21. Disconnect the charge air cooler intake pipe from the charge air cooler.

22. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
