| Description and Operation General Information This section contains descriptions of Diagnosis and Testing and of General Service Operations for the VXT-75 manual transaxle, the 6-speed manual transaxle and the clutch. Both manual transaxles are equipped with a cable shift and a hydraulic clutch operating system. Transaxle systems Two types of manual transaxles are available. Availability as follows. - The VXT-75 manual transaxle is available with the 2.0L DOHC-16V and the 2.3L DOHC-16V engine.
- The 6-speed manual transaxle is available with the 1.9L TDI (66 kW and 85 kW) diesel engine and the 2.8i CD-V6–24V engine.
The Galaxy MY 2000.75 is the first Ford vehicle to be built with a 6-speed manual transaxle. |
