Aligner, Clutch Friction Disc

1. Remove the transaxle. For additional information, refer to:

   Transaxle - 2.0L (308-03A, Removal),

   Transaxle - 2.8L (308-03B Manual Transmission/Transaxle - Vehicles With: 6-Speed Manual Transmission (MT350), Removal),

   Transaxle - 1.9L Diesel (308-03B Manual Transmission/Transaxle - Vehicles With: 6-Speed Manual Transmission (MT350), Removal).

2. 

   CAUTION:If reusing the clutch pressure plate, evenly loosen the bolts in stages, working diagonally, until the diaphragm spring is decompressed (approximately two turns).
   Remove the clutch assembly from the flywheel.
   • Discard the bolts.

1. Using the special tool, align the clutch friction disc centrally on the clutch pressure plate.

2. 

   CAUTION:Evenly tighten the bolts in stages, working diagonally, until the clutch pressure plate contacts the flywheel.
   

   NOTE: Install six new bolts.
   Install the clutch friction disc with the clutch pressure plate.
   1. Place the clutch pressure plate with special tool and centred clutch friction disc onto the flywheel dowel pins.
   2. Tighten the clutch pressure plate bolts, working diagonally.
   • Remove the special tool.

3. Install the transaxle. For additional information, refer to:
