Drain the air conditioning system.

Remove the accessory drive belt.

Disconnect the A/C compressor clutch electrical connector. | Vehicles built up to 08/2002 | | -
Remove the refrigerant line cover plate and detach the refrigerant line from the support bracket. - Remove the refrigerant line cover plate retaining bolts.
- Remove the refrigerant line support bracket retaining bolt.

CAUTION:Cap the refrigerant lines and the A/C compressor to prevent dirt ingress. Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the A/C compressor. - Discard the O-ring seals.
| Vehicles built 08/2002 onwards | | -
Remove the power steering line support bracket retaining bolt. - Pull the power steering line to the side.

CAUTION:Cap the refrigerant lines and the A/C compressor to prevent dirt ingress. Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the A/C compressor. - Discard the O-ring seals.

CAUTION:Support the A/C compressor before removing the retaining bolts. Remove the A/C compressor. | Installation | | -
NOTE:Install new refrigerant line O-ring seals. NOTE:Coat the refrigerant line O-ring seals in clean refrigerant oil prior to installation. To install, reverse the removal procedure. | |
