Removal and Installation

Removal

All vehicles
  1. Remove the front seat.
    For additional information, refer to Front Seat in this section.

  1. Remove the backrest recliner handwheel.

  1. Remove both seat adjust levers (inner side shown).
    1. Remove the screw cover.
    1. Remove the screw.

  1. Remove the side trim panels (outer side shown).
    1. Remove the screw.
    1. Detach the clips.
    1. Detach the rear locating tang.
Vehicles with side air bags
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The side air bag module wiring harness is equipped with color coded sleeves to identify the correct position of the cable ties. The position of the cable ties will vary depending on the seat specification. Note the color of the sleeves and the position of the cable ties to aid installation.
    Detach the side air bag module wiring harness from the seat cushion.
    • Cut the cable ties.

  1. Detach the side air bag module wiring harness from the underside of the seat.
    • Detach the clip.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The side air bag module wiring harness is equipped with color coded sleeves to identify the correct position of the cable ties. The position of the cable ties will vary depending on the seat specification. Note the color of the sleeves and the position of the cable ties to aid installation.
    Detach the side air bag module wiring harness from the underside of the seat track.
    • Cut the cable ties.
  1. Feed the side air bag harness through the seat base and cushion.
All vehicles
  1. Detach the backrest heater mat wiring harness from the seat base (if equipped).
    • Detach the clips.

  1. Disconnect the heated seat electrical connector (if equipped).
    • Slide the heated seat electrical connector rearwards to detach from the seat base.

  1. Disconnect the backrest heater mat electrical connectors (if equipped).

  1. Disconnect the video system wiring harness (if equipped).
    1. Detach the clips.
    1. Feed the wiring harness through the cushion cover.

  1. Remove the front seat backrest.
    • Remove the clips.
    • Remove the retaining bolts.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
