Removal and Installation

Removal
  1. Disconnect the catalyst monitor sensor, electrical connector.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Remove the catalyst monitor sensor.

  1. Detach the rear exhaust pipe assembly from the catalytic converter.
    1. Remove the exhaust pipe clamp nuts.
    1. Detach the rear exhaust pipe assembly.

  1. Disconnect the catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold downpipe.

  1. Remove the catalytic converter.
    1. Detach the catalytic converter hanger insulator.
    1. Remove the catalytic converter.

Installation
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
