Safety Belt System - Rear Safety Belt Retractor Ikon 1999 (01/2000-)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. For additional information, refer to Section  501-10 Seating.

  1. Detach the rear safety belt lower anchor from the floor panel.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:The bolt securing the safety belt anchor is held captive by a paper washer. The bolt, spacer and paper washer must remain on the safety belt anchor at all times when the safety belt is detached or removed.
    Detach the safety belt upper anchor from the C-pillar.
    1. Detach the trim panel.
    1. Remove the retaining bolt.

  1. Remove the rear safety belt trim panel.
    • Detach the retaining clips.

  1. Remove the rear wheel housing trim panel.

  1. Remove the rear safety belt retractor.
    • Feed the safety belt webbing through the parcel shelf.

Installation
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
