Removal

All vehicles
  1. Remove the lower arm assembly.
    For additional information, refer to Arm Assembly - Lower - Right-hand Side, Arm Assembly - Lower - Left-hand Side in this section.
Vehicles built up to 08/1996

  1. Using the special tool, remove the front and rear bushings.
Vehicles built 08/1996 onwards

  1. Using the special tool, remove the front bushing.

  1. Using the special tools, remove the rear bushing.

Installation

Vehicles built up to 08/1996

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure the nipples on the rear bush are in line with the triangular alignment marks on the arm.
    Position the lower arm bushings on the lower arm.
    1. Position the front solid bushing.
    1. Position the rear voided bushing.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The special tool installs the bushings to the correct depth.
    Using the special tool, install the front and rear bushings.
Vehicles built 08/1996 onwards

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The special tool installs the bushing to the correct depth.
    Using the special tool, install the front bushing.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:The shim is used for the correct depth of the bushing and must be removed when the bushing is installed.
    Install the rear bushing.
    1. Install the shim (refer to materials table).
    1. Using the special tools install the rear bushings.
All vehicles
  1. Install the lower arm assembly.
