Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the tie - rod end.
    For additional information, refer to Track Rod End in this section.

  1. Remove the gaiter retaining clips.

  1. Remove the gaiter.
    1. Disconnect the steering gear breather pipe.
    1. Slide the gaiter off the tie - rod.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure the tie - rod is clean. Install the gaiter using new retaining clips.
    Install the components in the reverse order.
