In-vehicle Repair

Removal

All Vehicles
  1. Raise the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.
Diesel-engined vehicles
  1. Remove the speedometer drive gear assembly.
    • Pull out the plugs.
    • Pull out the roll pin.
Vehicles with the 2.5L engine
  1. Remove the speedometer drive gear assembly.
    • Disconnect the multiplug.
    • Pull out the roll pin.

Installation

  1. Refit the components in reverse order.
  1. Lower the vehicle.
