Speed Control Actuator - 2.5L > < Speed Control Deactivator Switch Adjustment

Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the plenum. For additional information, refer to Section  303-04A Fuel Charging and Controls / 303-04B Fuel Charging and Controls / 303-04C Fuel Charging and Controls / 303-04D Fuel Charging and Controls - Turbocharger / 303-04E Fuel Charging and Controls.

  1. Disconnect the actuating cable from the throttle quadrant.

  1. Remove the throttle cable from the throttle bracket.
    1. Remove the cable from the throttle bracket.
    1. Push the retaining clip from the throttle bracket and pull the cable out.

  1. Remove the actuator multiplug.

  1. Remove the actuator retaining bolt.

  1. Disengage the actuator locating pins.

  1. Remove the cable cap from the actuator.
    1. Depress and hold the locking clip.
    1. Turn the cap anticlockwise.

  1. Remove the cable from the actuator pulley.
    1. Gently release the cable locking spring.
    1. Push the cable end out of the pulley slot.

Installation

  1. Refit the components in reverse order.
