Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Observe the "Health and Safety Rules". For additional information, refer to Section  100-00 General Information.
    Standard preparatory measures
    • Place protective covers over the fenders.
  1. Drain the air conditioning system. For additional information, refer to Section  412-00 Climate Control System - General Information.
  1. Raise the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Detach the radiator undershield.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Immediately close off the refrigerant lines and connections with plugs.
    Detach the upper and lower refrigerant line from the air conditioning condenser (lower one shown).

  1. Detach the air conditioning condenser from the radiator support.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Do not damage the radiator fins.
    Remove the air conditioning condenser.
    • Push the radiator as far as possible towards the compressor.
    • Unhook the air conditioning condenser at the top from the guide tabs, slide it towards the grille and take it out to the bottom.

Installation

CAUTION:
CAUTION:Do not damage the radiator fins.
NOTE:
NOTE:Renew the O-rings and smear them with refrigerant oil.
  1. Refit the components in reverse order.

  1. Evacuate and fill the air conditioning system. For additional information, refer to Section  412-00 Climate Control System - General Information.
  1. Standard finishing operations.
    • Remove the protective covers.
  1. Check the operation of the heater/air conditioning system.
