Module Configuration - Module Configuration Mondeo 1997 (08/1996-09/2000)
General Procedures

  1. Load the CD into the diagnostic tester.

  1. Connect the diagnostic tester to the data link (DLC) connector. This is located next to the central junction box (CJB) on the driver's side beneath the instrument cluster.
  1. Select "Module Configuration" menu.
  1. Select relevant module. The vehicle data must be read out before the module is removed. If the module concerned is not communicating with the diagnostic tester, contact the Hotline quoting the vehicle identification number (VIN).
  1. Read out the module code or vehicle data from the faulty module.
  1. Remove the faulty module and install the new module as described in the Service Instructions.
    • 292000 or 336600 PCM or electronic immobiliser module
    • 127800 ABS module or ESP module
    • 336440 anti-theft warning system/double locking module
  1. Configure the new module using the diagnostic tester according to the equipment level of the vehicle.
  1. Disconnect the diagnostic tester from the DLC.
  1. Check the operation of the system.
