Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the ashtray.

  1. Remove the shift lever boot.
    • Unscrew the shift lever knob.

  1. Detach the shift lever bezel.

  1. Disconnect the multiplugs.

  1. Cut the cable ties.
  1. Remove the overdrive switch. For additional information, refer to Section  307-01 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle.

  1. Remove the terminals from the overdrive switch multiplug.
    • Remove the shift lever bezel.

  1. Remove the centre console fixings.
    1. Four screws.
    1. Three screws.
    1. Two screws.

  1. Remove the vent.

  1. Release the handbrake ratchet.
    • Detach the spring.
  1. Fully raise the handbrake lever.

  1. Remove the console.
    • Slide the console rearwards and disconnect the cigarette lighter multiplugs.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Install the spring on the handbrake ratchet before installing the centre console.
    Install the components in reverse order.
