Detach the exhaust flexible pipe from the front muffler pipe. - Discard the nuts and the gasket.

Detach the exhaust system from the front exhaust hanger insulator. | | | -
Detach the exhaust system from the middle exhaust hanger insulator. | | | -
Detach the exhaust system from the crossmember exhaust hanger insulator (if equipped). | | | -
Detach the exhaust system from the rear exhaust hanger insulator and remove the exhaust system. | Vehicles with xenon headlamps All vehicles | | -
Remove the evaporative emission canister housing retaining bolts. | | | -
Disconnect the fuel tank vent pipe and the evaporative emission purge valve pipe from the evaporative emission canister. | | | -
Detach the crossmember (two bolts each side). | | | -
CAUTION:Do not place excessive strain on the brake hoses and suspension components. Partially lower the crossmember. | | | -
Detach the water separator box cover from the evaporative emission canister water separator box. | | | -
Detach the evaporative emission canister from the evaporative emission canister housing. | | | -
Remove the evaporative emission canister from the evaporative emission canister housing. - Push the evaporative emission canister forward.
- Lift the evaporative emission canister up and remove.

Install the evaporative emission canister into the evaporative emission canister housing. - Lower the evaporative emission canister into the evaporative emission canister housing.
- Push the evaporative emission canister backwards to lock it into place.

Attach the evaporative emission canister to the evaporative emission canister housing. | | | -
Attach the water separator box cover to the evaporative emission canister water separator box. | | | -
WARNING:Do not place excessive strain on the brake hoses and suspension components. Raise the crossmember. | | | -
Using the special tools, align the crossmember. - Insert the alignment pins through the crossmember alignment holes.
- Slide the locking plates into the groove and tighten the alignment pin sleeve.

Install the crossmember (two bolts each side). | | | -
Connect the fuel tank vent pipe and the evaporative emission canister purge valve pipe to the evaporative emission canister. | | | -
Install the evaporative emission canister housing retaining bolts. | Vehicles with xenon headlamps All vehicles | | -
Attach the exhaust system to the rear exhaust hanger insulator. | | | -
Attach the exhaust system to the crossmember exhaust hanger insulator (if equipped). | | | -
Attach the exhaust system to the middle exhaust hanger insulator. | | | -
Attach the exhaust system to the front exhaust hanger insulator. | | | -
NOTE:Install a new gasket and retaining nuts. Attach the exhaust flexible pipe to the front muffler pipe. | Vehicles with xenon headlamps | | -
Initialize the headlamp levelling system using WDS. | |
