Automatic Transmission/Transaxle External Controls - Vehicles With: 4-Speed Automatic Transmission (CD4E) - Selector Lever Cable Adjustment Mondeo 2001 (10/2000-02/2007)
General Procedures

Adjustment
  1. Shift selector lever to position ""D”.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure the selector lever cable outer sleeve is free for moving after unlocking.
    Open the selector lever cable locking mechanism (turn counterclockwise).
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Rotate the manual valve detent lever assembly to the ""D” position.
    1. Low 1
    1. Low 2
    1. Drive
    1. Neutral
    1. Reverse
    1. Park
  1. Lower the vehicle.

  1. Close the selector lever cable outer sleeve by turning the locking mechanism clockwise.
  1. Check the selector lever cable adjustment.
