Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the following items:
    1. Refer to: Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate (308-01A Clutch - Vehicles With: 5-Speed Manual Transmission (iB5), Removal and Installation).
    1. Refer to: Oil Pan (303-01A Engine - 1.6L Duratec-16V Ti-VCT (Sigma), Removal and Installation).

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that new bolts are installed.
    Special Tool(s): 303-393
    Torque:
    Stage 1:
    30 Nm
    Stage 2:
    80°

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:New crankshaft rear seal carriers are supplied with an alignment sleeve which must be removed after installation.
    Torque: 9 Nm

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
